How to join ‘Tour of Duty’ Indian Army?

The proposal of Tour of Duty is an effort made by the Indian Army to attract the best talent that the country has towards the Indian armed forces. Tour of Duty will be launched with around 100 vacancies for officers and 1000 for jawans. This ‘course’ set up by the Indian Army will help with the improvement of self-confidence, teamwork, initiative, stress management, innovation and a sense of responsibility.

Army spokesman Colonel Aman Anand was quoted by a news source saying that the scheme will be launched with limited seats as an experiment. If it is a successful venture, the number of vacancies will be increased.

                                            

Educational Qualification:                                   

• Soldier General (GD जवान)- 10th Pass (10 वीं पास)
• Soldier Technical – 12th Pass
• For Officer- Graduation        

                                             

                    

Tour Of Duty Age Limit (TOD):

Tour of Duty Age Limit and Eligibility Criteria for Soldiers and Officers. TOD Recruitment 2020 detailed qualification and Application form.

For Soldiers GD: 17 ½ to 21 years.

For  Officers:  21 to 34 years.

NOTE: Age Limit may vary in the actual notification. Upper Age limit will be relaxable up to 30 yrs of age in certain conditions.

                                                 Marital Status:

Candidate must have marital status Unmarried.

Selection Process:

1. Physical Test
2. Medical Test
3. Written Test

Salary:

• Selected Candidate will get in between Rs 30,000 to Rs 40,000 per month for Soldier Post.
• Selected Candidate will get in between Rs 80,000 to Rs 90,000 per month for Officer Post.
